PROPOSALS FOR CONTRACTORS FOR WEATHERIZATION SERVICES

Blue Ridge Community Action, Inc. (BRCA) is soliciting contractors to provide weatherization services to homes in Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Gaston, Mecklenburg, Stanly, and Union Counties. 

​

BRCA is seeking bids from qualified/licensed Plumbers, Electricians, Contractors, Auditors, Quality Control Inspectors, and HVAC Contractors. Sub-contractors will be used to service and/or install heating systems, furnish and install insulation, install air sealing measures, perform minor electrical repairs, perform minor plumbing repairs, repair roofs, and to assess or inspect client’s homes for the Weatherization Assistance Program as needed.

MINORITIES, WOMEN, VETERANS, DISABLED OWNED BUSINESSES, AND HISTORICALLY UNDERUTILIZED BUSINESSES (HUBS) are encouraged to participate in the process.

BRCA is requesting bids for the Weatherization Assistance Program, subject to the conditions described in the bid packet.  Contractors must provide evidence of Whole House Training and/or experience before bids will be accepted.  Contractors must provide proof of Worker’s Compensation, Pollution Occurrence, and Automobile Insurances are required as well as references of construction and/or weatherization experience.
